    Quantity vs Quality
    This place is definitely quantity focused. I'm Chinese,  but read Chinese. Not sure how they function without an English menu.

    You can ask for the familiar to see if they have it or she can move the steamers around to show you what they have.

    I ordered a couple of Roast Pork buns, shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings.
    Pork buns were better than the dumplings but overall everything was meaty and good.

    Good.
    #1 great that food looks fresh!
    #2 good lady at counter spoke well enough English and was not rude.
    Bad.
    #1 nothing on wall was in English
    #2 no pricing

    1st time here mabye last. Love it was fast loved food was or looked fresh.  Bad was why 2 orders of shumi and 2 orders of steam but cost me $18 bucks.  And the guy in front of me looks like he got a different price because he was you know what...

    I have the foggest idea how this place got do many high reviews.
    These are the worst dim sum I have ever eaten.
    I have eaten dim sum in take outs and restuarants for over 60 plus years in many parts of the country.

    I honestly don't know what I ordered but I was happy! To be expected, no English anywhere so I just pointed at what seemed good. The noodles were solid, the steamed bun was pretty good, the egg rolls were ehhh (pass), and I had some other dumpling that was good too! The winner was the shrimp har gow. SO GOOD

    Obviously this isn't a place you would go out of your way for but if you live the area like I do, you may find yourself coming here weekly.

    The prices are cheaper than the dim sum bakeries on Irving and there's a fairly wide selection. My go-to is actually the box of black bean spareribs over rice, as it comes with heapfuls of cabbage if you're here early enough (they may run out of that delicious cabbage if you show up too late). I always get it with soy sauce. It's filling and costs only $5.50 (with tax). You can also get a box of chicken feet for $5.50. Sure the spareribs and the chicken feet are fatty but that's my preference.

    The dumplings are nice and glutinous although quite salty/full of MSG. I tend to prefer the cheung fan over the dumplings and also the lo mai gai (comes in small and large).

    Not that this really factors into my ratings, but the people who work here are always quite pleasant! It's a welcome change from what I'm used to seeing in the Sunset.
